Blood Processing Center

This project consisted of SGS designing and constructing a new single story 13,838 SF Blood Processing Center at Fort Bliss, Texas. The new Center is a modern, well-equipped facility to perform blood collection, testing, manufacturing, storage, and shipping of blood products to military medical treatment facilities worldwide. The Center will support the Armed Services Blood Program, which provides blood components to military medical centers and provides increased operational support to units who use Fort Bliss as a Power Projection Platform during mobilization.

The experience starts with the open architectural trellis at the main entrance, inviting visitors into the building. All spaces throughout the Center are inviting, warm, and full of natural daylight.
